Daily Bible Reading

In order for our relationship with God to grow, we talk to Him and listen to Him repeatedly. That is why we read the Bible and pray daily. To help us in our listening, we read a passage from the Bible every day. This is the passage that we are focusing on today. Join our community in listening to God today!

Connection Six: Kingdom

Revelation 7:9-12 (NCV) After the vision of these things I looked, and there was a great number of people, so many that no one could count them. They were from every nation, tribe, people, and language of the earth. They were all standing before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands. They were shouting in a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” All the angels were standing around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures. They all bowed down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! Praise, glory, wisdom, thanks, honor, power, and strength belong to our God forever and ever. Amen!”

  1. The scene here is the end of the world. Jesus has returned and all Christians from every corner of the earth, including those who have died already, are standing together before the throne of God. What picture of the church does this give you?
  2. If in the end we will all be together, why do you think churches, in general, are sort of off to themselves just doing their own thing with very little regard to the churches around them?
